Green Issues: Three of the Biggest Environmental Issues We Have

At this point in time, it is pretty safe to say that our environment needs help. In each and every new day that we see, there are more and more issues that become progressively worse. It’s like we have all become gamblers who play slot machines with our lives. Each day we ignore the issues, we pull the metaphorical lever of the machine and wait to see if we win or lose.

If we are to really forward our understanding, we all need to be aware of the three biggest environmental issues that we have. Let us begin.

waste - Green Issues: Three of the Biggest Environmental Issues We Have

Waste Disposal

Waste disposal continues to be a massive issue no matter where in the world you go. People produce a massive amount of waste each and every day. We have all tried to find better ways to dispose of them but as long as people continue to dump non-biodegradable things and toxic waste into our landfills and bodies of water, this is an issue that shall not change.

pollution - Green Issues: Three of the Biggest Environmental Issues We Have

Pollution

Waste disposal and pollution were often thought to be interchangeable. We’re here to say that they are not. Pollution refers to the introduction of harmful and even poisonous substances into our environment. The smoke from our cars, the wrappers of candies, the straw from your Starbucks, and many more! All of these contribute toward the pollution of our air, lands, and waterways.

Overpopulation

If an average person can throw away roughly 200 pounds of plastic per year, imagine what 300 million people could do. The human population has only grown significantly with each year. The estimate amount in 2016 was that there were over 7 billion people here. With that data 2 years old and countless babies born every day, we can assume that number is significantly higher.

If we are to help our environment, we must cause direct and positive change upon those three problem areas. What do you think about this? What other big environmental issues do you know of?
